Somewhere a clock tower is about to strike, a flower seller is reaching for the last bouquet, and a child is tugging at a mother's hand. The weaver held that single moment still for the whole length of the work, row after row, without letting it slip. Two metres of silk, and not one figure is idle. Hang it where you pass every morning; it will give you a different detail each day for years.
